Child Abduction - Abduction From Israel

This section deals with the issue of child abduction from Israel – to  a country which is also bound by the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction. It includes information on how to prevent a child being abducted from Israel in the first place e.g. when there are 'warning signs' that one parent may be planning to remove the child without the knowledge and consent of the other. It also deals with the following: (a) what legal action needs to be taken to get an abducted child back from a 'Hague Convention country' ,(b)how foreign courts have interpreted defences related to a requested return to Israel and (c) how they may ask for a legal opinion from an Israeli court or lawyer/attorney, as part of the proceedings.
